Warrior/Ranger?
How is the warrior ranger build? I was kind of curious because I partied with a TBF (like a top 400 guild or something) and 2 of them had pets (warrior/rangers) and the other guy was a warrior monk with balth's aura and they literally just cleaned house. Course I was using a fragility build (ranger) which helped immensely but they were doing really well.
Is the pet route popular for warriors coupled with a sword? Just curious. Also, since I'm on the subject, whats a good popular sword build? (I can always search if nobody wants to answer it but if so that'd be great too). |

I guess for swords Galrath Slash, Final Thrust are good ones to use...
however I think Swords are trash...(I suppose they do ok in PvE) Evi/Exe Axe combo does insane damage, and I suggest trying Axes out... Pet's are trash also and waste two slots to keep alive... Ranger does not really offer much to the Primary Warrior and I suggest trying Mesmer or Necro for Enchantment removal or trying SoH or JI in the Monk Smite line(for extra damage) |

While Cerra.Nova is generally right assuming PvP, in PvE Aura on a pet is quite fun.

The one thing you need to remember with the W/R build is Apply Poison. Other than that I feel that the other worthy skill from the ranger class is Storm Chaser.

I eat axe warriors for lunch with my sword build, so don't let them fool you. Sword is just as powerful as axe if you know how to use it. Nothing like watching an axe warrior in shock after I crush them with my build. How did you do that? You cheated! You know the regular whinny bs.
As for a w/r combo it's not something I would take to the pvp arena but for pve it's kinda fun. |

Something I rarely do is give my pvp builds out. People copy them and then make my "unique" builds less powerful or counters quickly show up. I give out PVE builds for soloing from time to time, check out the other forums for those. Let's just say the axe warrior that usually charges my monk is dead within a few seconds.

with the changes to pets in the recent update you should start seeing more pet based builds(80 AL is pretty nice)...but then again this would assume anyone playing PvP had any idea what they were doing and wanted more than just running cookie cutter forum builds to hold the hall.

Sever Artery and Gash are pretty useless... like that 6 damage per second is going to get anywhere (in PVE AND PVP). Immolate is okay, but on a warrior that's nearly half your energy bar... Most of your damage comes from the conjure... Considering you would need them to bebleeding to actually deal more damage with gash. What happens when you fight stuff that can't bleed? |
